The SPEIGHT'S Brewery is a Dunedin icon and the tour is a must-see for any visit to the south. Olveston House
Share a living treasure in this authentic and well presented historic house. Olveston is an elegant expression of one man's dream. A tour of Olveston allows an intimate glimpse of the lifestyle of a privileged family in the early 1900s. Built between 1904 and 1906 the Jacobean style, grace and grandeur of Olveston is distinguished by a wealth of decorative detail. It possessed a service lift linking all four storeys. The house was centrally heated and had an internal telephone system. Seven servants were employed to service 35 rooms and to manicure the beautiful garden. Oceana Gold Tours

Otago Museum and Discovery World
Otago Museum is one of New Zealand's oldest museums. It houses excellent displays of Maori and Pacific heritage, especially southern Maori culture. Also, Discovery World - the hands-on science centre and changing exhibitions in the Special Exhibitions Gallery. 'Southern Land - Southern People' is the icon gallery of the Otago Museum.

Larnach Castle
New Zealand's only castle fully furnished and restored. The Castle is still privately owned and cared for by the Barker family who are celebrating their 40th anniversary at the Castle in 2007. This superbly crafted building with magnificent architecture showcases a unique collection of New Zealand antiques, with a tragic and scandalous history. Hocken Library, University of Otago
A Library, archives and art museum, relating to the history and culture of New Zealand, and the Pacific. The Library has collections of books, newspapers, periodicals, archives, photographs, pictures, published music and many genealogical sources. Founded in 1910 through the gift of Dr. T.M. Hocken. Administered in trust for the people of new Zealand by the University of Otago.
